Ferrari California T takes on Porsche 911 Turbo

We have already seen the prowess of Ferrari California T with the supercar garnering some excellent numbers. However Ferrari California T is not the only fish in the pond with Porsche 911 Turbo being another popular car in the segment that has all the right tools to take on Ferrari California T. We previously saw Ferrari California T battle it out with Lamborghini Huracan and did very well and now it is time to see how the car stands against Porsche 911 Turbo. Both the cars are quite premium and thus come with a heavy price tag although customers can avail used Ferrari cars or used Porsche cars as well. So without any further delay let us begin.

1. Exterior

While there were contrasting styles to be witnessed with Ferrari California T and Lamborghini Huracan, Porsche 911 Turbo has quite a similar design compared to the former. Ferrari California T comes with beautiful flanks at the front fascia that seems to be moving backwards while the rear portion is quite sleek and sport with an aerodynamically friendly design. The front grille looks muscular and sporty at the same time which should auger well with most customers. Porsche 911 Turbo is equally stylish with beautiful dynamic headlights and body colored door handles that jell along nicely with the rest of the exterior.

2. Engine

Under the hood Ferrari California T comes with the 90 V8 engine with fuel direct injection technology that has a 3855cc displacement generating 560PS power at 7500rpm and twisting 755Nm torque at 4750rpm. Porsche 911 Turbo on the other hand uses the PDK engine that is backed by a 3600cc displacement carving away 527PS power at 600rpm and 660Nm torque at 1950 to 5000rpm. Therefore Ferrari California T does seem to hold somewhat of an upper hand in this section.

3. Performance

Ferrari California T can grasp a top speed of 315.431kmph but Porsche Turbo 911 manages to take over the former with a top speed of 330kmph. Porsche 911 Turbo can further go from 0 to 100kmph in an unbelievable span of just 2.9 seconds whereas Ferrari California T again falls behind with 3.6 second duration to reach the 100kmph mark from a standstill.

4. Transmission system

Porsche Turbo 911 comes with a 6 speed manual transmission system with the vehicle using a rear wheel drive setup. On the other hand Ferrari California T comes backed by the F1 dual clutch 7 gear transmission system that also has an option for reverse.

5. Fuel consumption

With 10.51kmpl mileage, Ferrari California T is slightly less economical compared to the 11.8kmpl mileage that Porsche Turbo 911 delivers. However overall no customer is going to be purchasing any one of these cars based on the mileage they deliver.
